The Standards That Shape The Golf Tour

Tournament Rules

Please Note – The T&Cs can change as the tour develops throughout the year.

All of our competitions are Singles Stableford format with a 95% handicap (WHS)

Our competitions are split into two divisions and equal prizes are split across both divisions (providing there are over 50 players)

If there are over 110 players, there may be a 3rd Division. (Down to discretion of Green Golf)

1st – £100, 2nd – £80, 3rd – £60 in each division (Ties are split equally)

The handicap index split for Division 1 and Division 2 is generally between 10.0 & 12.0

If there are less than 50 players the competition will have just one division and prizes will be paid out to 5th (1st – £100, 2nd – £75, 3rd – £60, 4th – £50, 5th – £40)

There will always be a Gross prize at all event with no extra cost, the prize will be valued at 50p per competitor.

All events have a minimum prize pot of £700 providing there are at least 50 competitors.

Handicaps – All players are limited to a maximum of 28 shots by both index & playing handicap.

Players can still compete with a higher handicap but will be limited to 28 shots.

Amateur players without a WHS handicap are welcome to play but won’t be eligible to win Net prizes.

Handicaps

Green Golf reserves the right to manually adjust handicaps if they feel players continually outperform either their own WHS handicap or the field. If your best scores (8 out of 20 ratio / best 40%) on Green Golf are lower than your WHS handicap index your handicap will be lowered to suit the Green Golf scores. If a player has not played multiple Green Golf competitions before and finishes in the top 4 of their division (and no reduction to handicap is made via WHS), Green Golf can manually adjust them for future events until they’ve played enough events to have a fair representation of their level of Golf.

Green Golf reserves the right to remove players from the Order of Merit and withhold previous Prize Money if Green Golf, the players Home Club, Local Union or England Golf feel they’ve purposefully and or knowingly manipulated their handicap to increase the number of shots received.

Nearest Pins
We have Nearest the Pin Competitions at all events (usually 3 pins) the prize for this is a £40 Shop Voucher.

Gross Prize
At all events there will be a Gross Prize which will be valued at 50p per competitor, this will be rounded to the Nearest £5. (example, 63 players = £30 Prize) The Gross prize is as stated without handicaps, and is also played in Stableford Format in line with the main competition.

4BBB
Green Golf operates a side comp 4BBB which is 75% Handicap. The 4BBB is worked out from the same App as the singles, players 1&2 and 3&4 on the card make up the pairs. Players MUST let the organisers know prior to the commencement of the competition if they wish to swap the pairings. The 4BBB is open to all players for an additional fee which is either added on at the time of booking or upon signing in at the event. The 4BBB as of 2026 will have multiple winners, prizes will usually be paid out to 3rd place (this can vary depending on entry fees) ALL entry fees are paid out as prizes and it is treated like a ‘Chuck In’.
