The Standards That Shape The Golf Tour

Rules & Terms / Conditions

All of our competitions are singles stableford format with a 95% handicap (WHS).

Our competitions are split into two divisions and equal prizes are split across both divisions: 1st – £100, 2nd – £80, 3rd – £60, 4th £40 in each division (Ties are split equally).

The handicap index split for Division 1 and Division 2 is generally between 10.0 & 12.0.

If there are less than 50 players the competition will have just one division.

There will always be a Gross prize at all event with no extra cost, the prize will be valued at 50p per competitor.

All events have a minimum prize pot of £700 providing their are at least 50 competitors

Handicaps

All players are limited to a maximum of 28 shots by both index & playing handicap.

Players can still compete with a higher handicap but will be limited to 28 shots.

Amateur players without a WHS handicap are welcome to play but won’t be eligible to win Net prizes.

GGE reserves the right to manually adjust handicaps if they feel players contiually out perform either their own handicaps or the field. If your best scores (8 out of 20 ratio) on GGE events are lower than your index GGE will lower your playing handicap accordingly.

GGE reserves the right to remove players from the Order of Merit and withhold previous Prize Money if GGE and the players’ Home Club, Local Union or England Golf feel they’ve purposefully and or knowingly manipulated their handicap.

We have Nearest the Pin Competitions at all events (usually 3) the prize for this is a box of premium Golf balls or sometimes 4 balls.

We list the balls on the results and specify the balls we have in stock at that time, we can not guarantee those specific balls will be available forever as our ball stock changes periodically due to sponsors, manufacturer availability and seasonal offers.

We operate a 4BBB (pairs) Chuck In which costs £2 per player when purchased online (£3.50 on the day)

The 4BBB is 75% handicap (after slope rating)

The 4BBB is run via the live scoring and pairs are based on the tee sheet.

Players 1 & 2 will pair and players 3 & 4 will pair.

Winner takes all in the form of a shop voucher

The 2s competition is £3 per player when purchased online (£4 on the day)

If you make a gross 2 you win a sleeve of Premium Golf Balls. (Sometimes 2 sleeves depending on ammount of 2s at previous events)

(the balls for prizes do change periodically between ProV1, Chrome Soft and TP5)

Course Conditions

In the event the course has restrictions due to adverse weather leading up to the event, Green Golf Events will assess the situation and decide the best course of action. If the event sits between October 1st to March 31st, course restrictions such as mats, winter tees, temporary greens etc have the potential to be in place and a refund or credit will not be offered for these reasons. This is classed as the UK Golf Winter Season. If the event sits within the general season 1st April – September 30th we will make a decision based on the circumstances and decide if any restrictions are reasonable.
